Vloer make-over van wit lak naar ?

Onze vloer is l al 7 jaar lang wit van kleur. Niet alleen in ons huidige huis maar ook in ons huis hiervoor hadden we al een witte vloer en dit is altijd goed bevallen.

We kozen er destijds voor de oorsponkelijke vloer van ons huidige huis wit te verven. Deze ondervloer zag er nog netjes uit en we vonden het wel mooi authentiek om deze vloer weer zichtbaar te laten worden. Maar na een aantal jaren in de witte verf kwamen er slijtplekken en werd het tijd voor een nieuwe laag.

Lichtblauw-grijs

Hoewel ik nog steeds erg blij wordt van de voordelen van een witte vloer -namelijk een licht en ruimtelijk effect- begon het toch te kriebelen om eens voor een kleur te kiezen.

Ik ging op zoek naar een lichtblauw-grijze kleur.

Blauw is namelijk al jaren mijn favoriete interieur kleur. Maar als je al heel veel blauw hebt in huis kan het een beetje teveel worden. Daarom wilde ik een blauw/grijze kleur voor de vloer. Net even wat subtieler en stoerder dan baby blauw.

Flexa Visualizer

Ik had al goede ervaringen met de FLEXA kleuren app “Visualizer” (zie app store) dus besloot deze app er weer eens op los te laten. Je kan hiermee heel gemakkelijk verschillende kleuren uitproberen. Ik wist natuurlijk al dat ik een grijsblauwe kleur wilde maar daar zijn zoveel soorten van!

Deze verf is speciaal ontwikkeld voor kozijnen en vloeren. Het voordeel van “mooi makkelijk” is dat het verven makkelijk gaat. De ondergrond hoeft niet helemaal kaal te zijn, en de verf wordt snel droog.

En deze belofte kwam zeker uit ….

Stappenplan

Om jullie een beetje een idee te geven hoe het verven van de vloer in zijn werk ging heb ik een stappenplan gemaakt doormiddel van foto’s.

1.Vloer ontvetten in dit geval met sponsje en Dasty (wibra) maar dit kan ook met ontvetter St. Marc.

2. Vloer licht opschuren met schuurpapier. Hoeft echt niet helemaal kaal, gewoon licht opschuren was voldoende voor de “mooi makkelijk verf”

3. Eerste laag verf opbrengen met kwast. Dit is handig omdat je met de kwast makkelijker deukjes en krasjes op de planken bereikt.

In dit geval konden we ontsnappen via de suitedeuren (niet in beeld)

4. Dan begint het aflakken, de laatste tweede laag. Dit deden wij met een lakroller, hiermee krijg je een mooi egaal resultaat.

Na een uur of 2 was de vloer al droog! Maar de vloer moet dan nog wel uitharden, dus het is beter om er zeker een halve dag/nacht even niet op te lopen.

Savonds konden we voorzichtig de eerste spulletjes al terugzetten, en in de nacht kon het nog even uitharden.

Het verven van de totale ruimtes heeft al met al een uur of 12 in beslag genomen. De meeste tijd zat in het ontvetten van de vloer. Deze was door de jaren heen heel vies geworden. Het verven zelf ging heel soepel en snel.

Resultaat

Het blijft toch altijd lastig om een kleurtje uit te zoeken via je computer scherm. Wil je voor save gaan kan je het beste een kleurtester halen of een kleurstaal.

Zo met wit stak het eerste stukje heel erg af en leek het heel blauw

Kleuren kunnen namelijk door lichtinval wisselen. Onze vloer heeft soms een blauwe gloed, maar soms ook grijs. Gelukkig ben ik blij met beide tinten dus ook met het resultaat.

Alles komt fris uit, en het steekt prachtig af bij de witte muren en deuren. De kozijnen en deuren hebben we gewit om het totaal plaatje af te maken.
