Rotan is terug van weggeweest. De jaren 70 en de jaren 90 hadden op het gebied van rotan al hun hoogtepunten, en daar zijn de 00′ nu bijgekomen. De interieur trend is momenteel het terug willen naar de basis. Mooie echte materialen niet verstopt onder fineer of verf. En dit alles gecombineerd met groene planten maakt het plaatje helemaal compleet.

Oud vs nieuw

Het leuke van deze trend is dat je bijvoorbeeld Rotan stoelen zowel nieuw als oud kunt scoren. Helaas is het zo dat de kringloopwinkel in de steden er niet goedkoper op worden. Je kan dus kiezen voor oud maar soms betaal je dan bijna net zoveel als nieuw.

Kringloopstoeltje vintage bij mij thuis

Ik wissel het een beetje af, soms een kringloopstoeltje tegenwoordig voor een hogere prijs, en soms een nieuwe variant. Het is net wat op mijn pad komt.

Toen ik onlangs keek in webshop OTTO kwam ik per toeval een heel mooi strak rotan stoeltje against. Ik was eigenlijk op zoek naar een pedaalemmer, maar kon het toch niet laten even verder te neuzen.

Rotanstoel “Home affaire” €109,-

De OTTO stoel van het merk “Home affaire” heeft een strak zwart metalen frame wat perfect past bij de rest van mijn interieur. Maar mijn interieur principe is altijd ” iets erin, is iets eruit” dus mijn andere vintage stoel ging weer de deur uit, en de OTTO stoel kwam erin!

Rohe look

De stoel bleek in het echt nog veel mooier te zijn dan op de foto. Minder geel, en zonder kussen (vind een vachtje leuker) en het materiaal was echt van natuurlijk rotan.

Door het zwarte frame lijkt het ook nog eens op een echte oude klassieker de “Rohe” stoel uit de 70s.

De kleur van het rotan is echt zoals je vintage rotan ook ziet.
