Children's room hack with trundle bed from OTTO

A while ago I made my daughter Roos happy with a beautiful large 2-person bed in her renovated nursery.

This seemed ideal for her. Now she could easily let her sisters and friends stay. But in practice we ran into something. Because of the large bed she didn't have much room left to play.

Budget friendly solution

A mistake on my part. Of course she is too (only) 9 jaar oud, and of course you don't see the advantages of a double bed yet. You just want to be able to play in your room. And especially in this time when we are at home a lot that is also very important!

I decided to look for a budget-friendly solution. A bed that will give her room more space.

Daybed Birgit

In the category beds I initially went looking for a single bed. Only with a little reluctance, because then you miss the opportunity to let someone stay overnight.

Until I saw the solution! Daybed ¨Birgit¨, with a pull-out lying surface!

A bed in the same style as Roos's old bed, but then twice as compact!
And actually with 3 different possibilities. A single bed, a sofa bed, and a double bed!

has an extendable slatted base, making it possible to transform the bed into a large 180x200cm in an instant (!) 2-bed.

And once folded you have a bed / sofa where you can chill out.

Birgit is also available in black.

We chose the white variant. Roos's room is not very big, and with a black bed you put the emphasis on the bed. White looks just a bit more airy in a small room.

The bed looks super cozy and spacious as hoped!
