I recently made an in Elma,,nl,about Christmas decorations in my house,,nl,We went nuts on table decorations,,nl,and a purple Christmas tree,,nl,This tree is on our upstairs room,,nl,I also work,,nl,Totally fun I find myself,,nl,but for children it is always an experience to get a tree and decorate,,nl,So I was like,,nl,Another Groningen IKEA tree pick this weekend,,nl,A real tree gives surely just a little more Christmas spirit I find,,nl,Less is more,,en,There was a time when I hung up the tree completely covered with large,,nl,ball,,no,and more of that bling bling,,nl,But I decided this year,,nl,just like last year,,nl,impossible,,nl,Such real tree yet also requires actually pure materials,,nl,I chose wood,,nl,and apples,,nl,material unknown,,nl,Most of the tree comes from the thrift store,,nl vlog,,en,Shopping with Elma at Tk Maxx is already time for our second vlog,,nl,This week I'm going shopping with Elma of The Style Doctor at TK Maxx in our city Groningen,,nl,I wrote a blog once before about,,nl,In telling vlog,,nl,Read Vlog Part,,nl,vlog Archives,,nl over kerstdecoratie in mijn huis. We gingen helemaal los op tafeldecoratie, en een paarse kerstboom.

Deze boom staat op onze bovenkamer, waar ik ook werk. Helemaal leuk vind ik zelf, maar voor kinderen is het altijd een beleving om een boom te halen en te versieren. Dus ook ik ging net als 6000 andere Groningers bij IKEA een boom halen dit weekend.

Een echte boom geeft toch wel net even wat meer kerstgevoel vind ik.

Less is more

Er was een tijd dat ik de boom helemaal vol hing met grote (vintage ) ballen, en meer van dat bling bling. Maar ik besloot het dit jaar, (net als vorig jaar ) niet te doen. Zo’n echte boom vraagt toch ook eigenlijk om pure materialen. Ik koos voor hout, vilt, en appeltjes (materiaal onbekend)

Het meeste in de boom komt uit de kringloopwinkel. Als je aan 1 lampje draait, gaan alle lampjes uit. Hartstikke handig! Alleen je moet wel even goed onthouden welk lampje je avonds uitdoet ! (-;

Voordeel van deze lampjes vind ik dat ze zo ontzettend gezellig licht geven. Het zijn net echte kaarsjes.

En met kinderen zijn houten figuurtjes ook veel makkelijker om te gebruiken. Geen bal die meer kapot valt. De appeltjes ken ik uit mijn eigen jeugd. In the years 80 hing ik ze als klein meisje ook in de boom. Toen ik ze in de kringloopwinkel zag liggen, gingen ze natuurlijk meteen mee. Een beetje sentiment doet het altijd goed met kerst!

Ondanks dat ik elke dag flink moet stofzuigen onder de boom voor alle vallende naalden, is de boom letterlijk en figuurlijk een gezellig middelpunt van de kamer geworden.

In de voorkamer heb ik een klein wit boompje gezet. Gezellig naast de bank. Witte kunst boompjes vind je o.a bij HEMA. Deze kocht ik vorig jaar bij IKEA.

De mint poster met kerstboom komt van Knijter

In de vensterbank staat de gouden staafjes lamp die ik onlangs ook in de kringloopwinkel vond. Past helemaal bij de kerst, maar ook na de kerst mag hij blijven. Goud is immers helemaal de trend van nu.
