painted flowers

Today I was at the Fish Market in Groningen , where you can always find many flower stalls are. My eyes immediately fell on bright pink and blue flowers. For bright colors, that you could not ignore to look at it. What is that special kind? I asked the bloemenman.

But it was not what it seemed , it was not a special kind of, the flowers were painted! Not with a spray can, but from the stalk. How pathetic was my first thoughts, a flower intend to eat tasty water, but before that gets delivered instead a scary colored stuff. Nutrition Dyes are therefor also sometimes used, and that already sounds less scary.

Nevertheless, the flower nevertheless stood brightly and fresh at. And because I was already in the hands, I decided to take them home.

Let's see if it strikes people in our home that these flowers have a fake color. I've put in our window niche. Every passerby and visitor to our house can of meegenieten.

Actually, it is nonsense to buy painted flowers. Natural flowers are already wonderful enough. Perhaps we are a bit spoiled in the Netherlands with so much choice of cut flowers , which painted flowers not really add a lot.

Nevertheless quite nice to have more time at home, and they do well in the picture!
