Behalve dat het natuurlijk erg leuk is om de Nederlandse designer te steunen, is het verhaal erachter ook erg leuk om te lezen.

Webshop bijzonder mooi maakt er namelijk werk van om te vertellen hoe een product is ontstaan. Vanaf het ontstaan van het ontwerp, naar het eindproduct.

Dit maakt het kopen nog meer een beleving. Zelf vind ik het ook leuk om soms mensen iets te kunnen vertellen over de spulletjes die ik thuis heb. Een leuke anekdote over het ontstaan , of een weetje over het bijzondere materiaal waar het van gemaakt is. En meestal is dit dan ook nog eens duurzaam. Wat tegenwoordig ook niet onbelangrijk is!

Mijn eerste bestelling uit deze webshop waren vlaggetjes. Wij hebben in de zomermaanden zo’n 10 verjaardagspartijen in huis, dus versiering gaat er bij ons op en af waar je bij staat. De vlaggetjes en de overige versiering wordt er dan meestal niet mooier op. Helemaal als je (zoals ik) weinig geduld hebt met het opvouwen van het delicate spul!

Vlaggetjes van stof waar ik al mee bekend was hebben vaak drukke printjes. Hierdoor was ik er snel na de verjaardag alweer klaar mee.

Bij bijzonder mooi zag ik de linnen vlaggen van “Global Affairs”. Stijlvol door het luxe linnen materiaal en de niet schreeuwerige kleuren. De vlaggen zijn keurig afgewerkt aan de zijkanten en hangen mede hierdoor mooi strak naar beneden.

Inmiddels hangen ze al een week in onze kamer. Onze net verbouwde keuken wordt steeds meer af. En zo’n nieuwe keuken vraagt dan ook om een paar nieuwe accessoires. Ik viel voor de theedoeken van Rosary Vine met prachtige natuurlijke print!

De print op theedoek Rosary Vine is gebaseerd op een simpel hangplantje in de werkkamer van Dutch Designer Jurianne Matter. Ze was dagenlang op zoek naar inspiratie en dat bleek gewoon naast haar op het kastje te staan!

De theedoeken van Jurianne Matter dragen het “GOTS” organic logo en daarnaast nog het Fairtrade keurmerk. De hele keten – van zaadje tot aan het stikwerk in de fabriek – voldoet aan strenge biologische en fairtrade eisen. Wederom een aankoop met een beleving!

Van tassen heb je er nooit genoeg. Voor de zomer had ik behoefte aan een basic kleurtje. Ik draag in de zomer altijd veel zachte kleurtjes, en een donkere of zwarte tas vind ik daar echt niet bij passen. Je betaald voor zo’n designtasje van echt leer natuurlijk wat meer dan een tasje van de C&A, maar daar heb je ook wel iets orgineels. En duurzaam, want zo’n leren tas gaat in principe je hele leven mee!
