Instagram is voor mij toch wel de plek om creatievelingen te ontmoeten. Ik heb behalve interieur en mode liefhebbers ook al heel veel leuke kunstenaars leren kennen in de afgelopen jaren. Iets wat voor mij als stylist natuurlijk erg handig is! Een illustratie/kunstwerk maakt een ruimte gewoon helemaal af. Altijd erg fijn om met kunst in interieur te stylen.
Zo kreeg ik onlangs een bericht van Micky Hurts (zelf werkzaam als MC/vocalist) met de tip dat haar vriend Rémi de Ligny prachtige kunst maakt waarvan zij vond dat deze stijl goed in mijn interieur past.

Interieur switch
De laatste tijd is mijn interieur een beetje terug gegaan naar de basis. Van wit met veel kleur, ben ik wat meer gaan stylen met basiskleuren gecombineerd met natuurlijke materialen en planten. Ik had behoefte aan meer rust in huis. Het gebruik van veel kleur geeft nou eenmaal ook vaak een onrustig beeld.

En daar passen natuurlijk ook heel goed insecten bij. En dat is nou juist wat Kunstenaar Rémi op dit moment maakt. En daar kom ik straks op terug!
Foto kunst
Rémi creëert zijn kunstwerken door het samenstellen van verschillende foto’s. Hij werkt dit vervolgens digitaal uit tot in de kleinste details tot een collage. Zijn werken hebben vaak een futuristische en surrealistische sfeer. Ook maakt hij vaak gebruik van nostalgische objecten.

Deze nostalgische objecten zie je in de kunstwerken opduiken. Soms moet je er even een tijdje naar staren om ze allemaal te ontdekken.
Arhropods
Onlangs heeft Rémi een nieuwe kunst serie gemaakt. Genaamd: "Arhropods" translated as ",,nl,arthropods,,nl,animals with an external skeleton like many insects,,nl,The special feature of this series is that the insects are constructed by metal objects,,nl,Each and every one of these objects was photographed by Rémi himself and eventually assembled into an arthropod by him,,nl,Sometimes it is,,nl,photos per artwork,,nl,And the result is almost indistinguishable from real,,nl,I had to,,nl,times to see how the artwork was put together,,nl,Dragonfly,,nl,Orthetrum albistylum,,eu,Ladybug,,nl,Aiolocaria Hexaspilota,,en,Eupatorus gracillicornis,,la,Cool,,nl,The nice thing is that the insects in this version suddenly become tough,,nl,And what I like so much is that they are not immediately recognizable as,,nl,metal,,nl,insects,,nl,You really have to,,nl: “geleedpotigen” (dieren met een uitwendig skelet zoals veel insecten)
Het bijzondere van deze serie is dat de insecten opgebouwd zijn door metalen voorwerpen. Deze voorwerpen zijn stuk voor stuk door Rémi zelf gefotografeerd en uiteindelijk door hem samengesteld tot een geleedpotige. Soms zijn het wel 100 foto’s per kunstwerk!
En het resultaat is bijna niet van echt te onderscheiden!
Ik moest zelf ook 2 keer kijken hoe het kunstwerk in elkaar stak.

Stoer
Het leuke is dat de insecten in deze uitvoering ineens stoer zijn geworden. En wat ik ook zo leuk vind is dat ze niet direct te herkennen zijn als “metalen” insecten. Lieveheersbeestje
Ik koos zelf voor het Lieveheersbeestje. Behalve dat ik dit een schattig beestje vind, sprak de warme okergele tint gecombineerd met roest mij ook aan.
De warme kleuren steken mooi af bij de groene planten in ons huis.
