With me around the corner, midden in een woonwijk net 2km vanaf het centrum van Groningen zit al een paar jaar een vintage shop in een oude auto garage. “Salmagundi” aan de J.C. Kapteynlaan 6-8.
I cycle quite often along, but have not taken the step to go in there once. The store is in the center, and you think yet (prejudiced ) it will be not so many special.
New, I sat still as good next! Today I once went to take a look and my mouth fell open. Een enorme sfeervolle ruimte bomvol vintage interieur, en de grootste collectie reclame letters ooit gezien zat er verborgen achter 2 prachtige grote blauwe deuren.
En in het gebouw zat ook nog eens een super hip lunchcafe compleet in industriële-vintage stijl met de meest mooie en lekkere huisgemaakte taarten en hapjes.
Ik liep te struinen tussen al die mooie oude spulletjes en ik was gewoon de enige klant in de vintage shop op zaterdagmiddag (!) That's impossible ? ging er door mij heen. It's just a “hot spot” Groningen all vintage lovers should go there.
The case is on the water on a no through road. Makkelijk parkeren als je met de auto komt. But the bus stop is immediately in front of the road.
Ideal to start a day of Groningen (with a sandwich) or end (with coffee and cake!)
